Major east coast distributor experiences growing pains and solves them with Infor’s additional modules

A major east cost industrial distributor using the Distribution Enterprise i (A+) software application decided that they needed additional functionality for their growing business. They were running A+ version 6.0 since 2005. To support their expanding business they knew the added features in release 8.1 and purchasing new Distribution Enterprise i (A+) modules would be necessary to run their business more efficiently.  The modules included warehouse management, electronic payments, forms @ work, storefront, and graphical user interface (GUI).

With annual revenues exceeding 50 million a year and growing at 10% per year, growth became a deciding factor to upgrade their current system.  Expansion was another contributing factor. They went from a 60,000 sq. ft. warehouse to a 225,000 sq. ft. warehouse location to solve this problem.

Halfway through an 18 month deployment, MCS installed Version 8.1, installed forms at work (Optio) replacing Quadrant and Createform and moved their entire computer room and equipment. This customer is half way to where they want to be. Over the next 9 months we will be deploying the Storefront, GUI, and WMS modules. Together with INFOR and MCS, we are on our half way to helping this customer win!
